Highlights from 2025, grounded in experience, shaped by what comes next
Insights|December 30, 2025
In 2025, we continued to strengthen our role as a trusted legal advisor and partner in the Nordics, supporting clients and communities through a year marked by change, opportunity and collaboration. Below are some of the moments that shaped our year.
Making space for meaningful conversations
Throughout the year, we hosted and participated in forums for learning, dialogue and new perspectives. Our Leadership Seminars concluded in Helsinki with a conversation on blind spots, growth and leadership, moderated by Christina Dahlblom and featuring Saara Karhula and Valtteri Länsimies. The discussion brought more than a year of conversations to a close while underlining that leadership development is continuous.
At Roschier Disputes Forum, Johan Sidklev hosted Jakob Hallgren for a discussion on navigating a shifting global order. During Almedalen, we used our stage to highlight partner organizations advancing inclusion, transparency, sustainability and social innovation. Later in the summer, Axel Calissendorff reflected on his years at Roschier, while the Agnes Lundell Society’s Strength and solidarity event gathered voices including Kristiina Helenius and Kirsi Komi to discuss democracy, resilience and support for Ukraine.
Our House of Many Voices series continued to evolve. In Stockholm, the format took on new life, opening with a performance by Iryna Bilyk and Anna Nuzha and bringing together voices such as Tobias Billström, Ylva Johansson, Marx Mukaru, Nasir Sarr, Annika Winsth, Joel Halldorf, and Parisa Amiri to explore the new normal. In Helsinki, speakers including Anders Adlercreutz, Harri Koskinen, and Anna Savonen reflected on the meaning of it all, alongside industry leaders sharing perspectives on artificial intelligence, the green transition and long term competitiveness. We also explored the business case for trust, pride and humanity at work, linking ethical leadership with performance and culture.

Across the year, we supported conversations on culture, ethics and responsibility. Among these was Nokia’s OUTstanding Leaders program on allyship and inclusion. During Slush, Kiira Tuohimaa-Leisio convened founders and investors to discuss diversity in European venture capital, followed by our Investigations Forum examining compliance, culture and resilience in a changing enforcement landscape. We closed the year by joining the Orange Month procession in Helsinki, where Suzanne Innes-Stubb spoke on breaking the silence around violence against women and girls.
Societal impact and long term partnerships
We continued to prioritize societal impact through long term collaborations and practical action. Together with Beredskapslyftet, we supported initiatives responding to the crisis in Ukraine, including the Knitting for Ukraine campaign, deliveries with Caravan to Ukraine, targeted donations and pro bono work.
Our cooperation with the John Nurminen Foundation focused on strengthening its cross border reach and advancing protection of the Baltic Sea. In Helsinki, this collaboration was reflected through the exhibition of Meeri Koutaniemi’s photography in our office.
In Finland, our partnership with Plan International Finland continued through sponsorship and pro bono support of their Girl Award. This year’s recipients of the award, Vammaiset tytöt, visited us to share their experiences, deepening our dialogue on inclusion and equality.

Engaging with future talent
Students and future professionals remained a key focus in both Finland and Sweden. Through close cooperation with student organizations and initiatives such as Roschier Talent Academy, the Roschier Social Summer Club and the R Connect Mentorship Program, we engage with students from the early stages of their studies and offer opportunities that evolve as they progress. While some initiatives, such as Roschier Talent Academy in Finland, primarily reach students further along in their academic journey, our approach allows for continued engagement from mid-studies through to graduation, providing insight into business law in practice and supporting different paths into professional life. In Finland, Roschier also participated in the Oikkaripäivä 2025 career fair, while in Sweden we met students across the country through a broader presence at several law fairs, complementing our long-term initiatives and supporting the building of lasting relationships with the next generation of legal talent.
Together with the Women’s Career Network (WCN), we hosted events highlighting the many paths a legal career can take. In Sweden, this included an event featuring Johanna Bremdal, Aylin Bahmanyar Strand, Emma Johansson, and Louise Kleerup, as well as participation in several law fairs across the country. In Finland, Roschier is a main sponsor of WCN and collaborated on two joint events, in addition to participating in a WCN mentoring program event featuring Jenny von Knorring.
