Roschier advises Telia Company AB on its increase of ownership in Valokuitunen in relation to Telia’s and Brookfield’s joint acquisition of CapMan Infra’s stake in Finland’s leading fiber‑to‑the‑home (FTTH) operator.

Following completion of the transaction, Telia will hold 49% and Brookfield, through its mid-market infrastructure strategy, Brookfield Infrastructure Structured Solutions, will hold the remaining 51% in Valokuitunen.

Formed in 2020 as a joint venture between Telia and CapMan Infra, Valokuitunen is Finland’s FTTH market leader. The company’s network reaches more than 400,000 homes across over 100 municipalities through an open-access model hosting multiple service providers. The transaction reflects Telia’s strategy to invest in core connectivity and communications services in the Nordic and Baltic regions, and builds on the existing strategic partnership between Telia and Brookfield, established through Telia Towers AB since 2021.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals, with closing expected in the second quarter of 2026.
