Roschier represented Altaal and Carnegie in the acquisition of an office building in Espoo
Investment firm Altaal has, through its investment company Green Yield, acquired another office property under its brown-to-green impact investment strategy. The office building, located in Espoo in the Helsinki metropolitan area, is designated as a “FinnForest Modular Office” and is the first commercial building constructed using wooden elements in Finland. Roschier acted for Altaal and Carnegie in the transaction.
The office building, in a central location in Tapiola, Espoo, consists of a basement floor with garage and four above ground office floors, adding up to 7,189 square meters. The property was acquired from Schroders, one of Europe’s largest independent investment management firms by assets under management.
Altaal was founded by Henrik Schmidt and Stefan Gattberg with the Penser family as an external investor. The ambition is to run an impact investment firm that combines high activity and professionalism with a long-term approach to value creation. Altaal acts as lead investor and manager of the buyer and Carnegie acts as sole financial advisor and bookrunner in the transaction.
Roschier’s cross-border core advisory team comprised Johan Häger, Frida Lantoft and Filip Lundin in Sweden and Antti-Jussi Partanen, Mikko Saarve, Mattias Brännkärr, Julius Torvelainen, Liisa Alahuhta and Roope Vikström in Finland.
