Cibus acquires six Finnish assets in two separate transactions

Roschier advised Cibus in the acquisition of six Finnish daily-goods properties for an underlying property value of approx. EUR 61.4M through two separate transactions. Five of the assets are leased back to their seller.

With regard to the first deal, the properties are fully let to and acquired from Tokmanni Group in a sale and leaseback transaction. The properties are located in Eurajoki, Nilsiä, Pälkäne, Sipoo, and Sodankylä and offer around 15,700 sqm of lettable space. Four of the assets were constructed in 2024, and the one in Nilsiä is set for completion in Q4/2025. In respect of the four standing assets, the transaction was closed on 9 July 2025, with the closing of the Nilsiä asset planned for Q4/2025. Upon completion of each respective acquisition, each of the assets will be leased back to their seller, Tokmanni Group, with long-term lease agreements.

The second transaction concerns the acquisition of a Prisma hypermarket in Tuusula, Helsinki region. The property, with 9,300 sqm of lettable space, is leased to S Group on a long-term lease. Still under construction, it is expected to be completed in Q3/2026. The asset was acquired from Nrep through a forward funding agreement, and the acquisition was signed and closed on 8 July 2025.

Cibus is a real estate company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm Mid Cap. The company’s business idea is to acquire, develop and manage high-quality properties in Europe with grocery retail chains as anchor tenants. The company currently owns approximately 640 properties in Europe. The largest tenants are Kesko, Tokmanni, Coop, S Group, Rema 1000, Salling, Lidl, Dagrofa and Carrefour.
