Minna Hanninen is a Helsinki-based Senior Brand Protection Lawyer working with the firm’s Brand Protection, Intellectual Property and Marketing & Consumer practices. She has extensive experience in advising clients on a broad range of issues related to intellectual property rights, brand protection as well as marketing and consumer law, including but not limited to, trademark prosecution and enforcement, questions concerning trade names, domain names, designs and different aspects of copyright, questions relating to the acceptability of marketing and disputes concerning unfair business practices.
Prior to joining Roschier in 2021, Minna worked as a Senior Associate in a global law firm assisting several prestigious Finnish and global brand owners in protecting their world-wide trademark portfolios and representing them in diverse opposition, cancellation and infringement proceedings before the EUIPO, the Finnish PTO and the Finnish Market Court.
Minna is recognized by international publications such as IP Stars Rising Stars and The WTR 1000.
Minna holds an LL.D. degree from the University of Helsinki with a doctoral dissertation bridging the fields of intellectual property law and medical and bio law. Minna is also a member of the Finnish Bar Association.
