Miia Saarinen is a Helsinki-based Senior Associate in Roschier’s Public M&A, Corporate Advisory, Equity Capital Markets, and Finance & Restructuring practices. She advises clients on equity and debt capital markets transactions, as well as on Finnish corporate and securities law, corporate governance, and financial regulatory matters.
In equity capital markets, she has advised on IPOs and secondary offerings. In debt capital markets, she has advised Finnish issuers on a range of transactions, including bond issuances and EMTN programmes.
Miia has also gained broad transactional and corporate experience through an in-house secondment at a Finnish listed company.
She holds a Finnish LL.M. and has studied law at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in the US. Miia joined Roschier in 2021.

Miia Saarinen’s experience includes advising:
- KPY osk on its initial public offering and listing on Nasdaq First North Growth Market Finland, marking the first offering of membership shares in connection with a listing in Finland;
- Faron in its rights offering of approximately EUR 40.1 million in Finland and the United Kingdom;
- Posti Group Corporation on its landmark initial public offering and listing of shares on the Official List of Nasdaq Helsinki Ltd;
- Nokia Corporation on its $2.3 billion proposed acquisition of Infinera Corporation;
- Private equity firm CapMan Oyj on the issuance of unsecured sustainability-linked notes in Finland in the aggregate principal amount of EUR 40 million. The notes were listed on Nasdaq’s Sustainable Bond Market and were the first sustainability-linked notes ever issued by a Finnish public company
