Career news|November 25, 2025
We are pleased to continue strengthening Roschier’s Competition practice with the appointment of a new Counsel. The appointment reflects the growing demand for senior talent in complex competition-related matters.
Sari Rasinkangas is a highly regarded competition law expert with extensive experience representing clients before Finnish and EU competition authorities and courts. Her practice covers all areas of competition law, including, in particular, cartel and dominance investigations, merger control and related litigation, as well as foreign direct investment matters.
With a strong background in both the legal and economic aspects of competition law, Sari continues to bring exceptional analytical and strategic expertise and insight into the practice’s work. Her extensive advisory and in-house experience gained at a Nordic listed company is a significant asset for our clients. Sari’s appointment continues to strengthen the firm’s cross-border pool of senior experts in both Helsinki and Stockholm. Her appointment follows the recent arrival of Johan Wahlbom to the team and results in a bench strength of three partners and two counsel, supported by thirteen associates and two competition economists.
In addition to her work in the Competition practice, Sari has also taken a central role supporting and advancing Roschier’s AI development across the firm.
“Sari’s appointment to Counsel could not come at a better time. We are seeing a clear increase in the complexity of competition-related matters, and Sari’s senior expertise will serve our clients well,” says Ami Paanajärvi, Head of Roschier’s Competition practice in Helsinki. Emma Johansson, Head of the Competition practice in Stockholm, adds: “As we see a clear uptake in pan-Nordic matters, which are handled by the team jointly in both Stockholm and Helsinki, it is great that we have a strong senior bench in both countries.”
Roschier’s cross-border Competition practice advises leading companies on complex EU and competition law matters, including cartels and abuse of dominance cases, merger control and other M&A-related matters, and private enforcement. The team also has significant experience of FDI and protective security approvals, IP-related competition law, state aid and public procurement matters, as well as sector-specific EU regulation. The practice is top ranked by all major ranking publications such as WWL, GCR100, Chambers, The Legal 500, and Kantar Prospera.
