Roschier lawyers appointed to Finnish Bar Association committees and expert groups

Several Roschier lawyers have been appointed to committees and expert groups of the Finnish Bar Association for the 2026–2028 term. Through these roles, they contribute their expertise to the development of the legal profession, professional standards, and legal practice in Finland.

The Finnish Bar Association’s committees and expert groups play an important role in supporting the development of the legal profession and addressing issues that affect lawyers, clients, and society. Bringing together practitioners from different types of law firms and areas of expertise, these bodies help shape guidance, policies, and professional standards across the profession.

One of Roschier’s representatives, Partner Toni Siimes, continues his work as a member of the Ethics Committee, which advises on ethical issues and helps assess new questions arising from developments in society and the business environment. 

“What inspired me to join the Ethics Committee is the central role that professional ethics play in our profession. Ethical principles are not static. As society and the business environment evolve, new questions emerge that require careful consideration and clear guidance. A lawyer who is a member of the Finnish Bar Association is bound not only by the law, but also by a professional and ethical framework that safeguards independence, integrity, and trust. Contributing to the development of that framework is both a responsibility and a privilege.” 

Toni also highlights the value of bringing diverse perspectives to the committee’s work as the Finnish Bar Association represents everything from sole practitioners to large international law firms.
