Luxcara acquires a 125 MW battery storage project in Finland

Roschier advised Luxcara, a leading German asset manager for energy transition infrastructure, on its acquisition of a construction ready 125 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project located in Keminmaa, southern Lapland.

Once constructed, it is expected to be among the largest BESS assets in Finland. The construction is planned to begin in 2026, with commercial operation targeted for summer 2027.

Under the transaction, Luxcara acquired 100% of the shares in the project company, Keminmaan Sähkövarasto Oy, from Arise AB through its Finnish subsidiary Pohjan Voima Oy, a Finnish developer of clean energy production and usage.
