Now is the time to prepare for the changes that the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive will bring to Swedish employment legislation. Our experts discuss the changes that the new directive will bring.

On 17 December 2021, the Swedish Whistleblower law is scheduled to enter into force. The law will transpose the Whistleblower Protection Directive into Swedish legislation. Some parts of the new law will enter into force immediately on 17.12, but other parts will be implemented later.

They also discuss another important question: Will the firm-wide whistleblowing systems already implemented by many Swedish companies be enough to fulfill the requirements of the law in the future?
