Aurora Infrastructure to acquire Terrafame’s high and medium voltage electrical grid assets

Roschier advised Aurora Infrastructure Oy on entering into a strategic partnership with Terrafame Ltd by agreeing to acquire high and medium voltage electrical grid assets of the company’s Sotkamo industrial site in a buy and lease-back deal.

The transaction forms part of Terrafame’s financing package for its LEACHMAX investment program and supports Aurora Infrastructure’s growth strategy in the Nordic industrial infrastructure market. Terrafame will continue to operate and maintain the electricity network at its Sotkamo industrial site following closing.

Aurora Infrastructure focuses on the design, financing, ownership, and operation of industrial-scale electrical infrastructure in the Nordic countries. The company said the partnership with Terrafame marks an important milestone in expanding its asset base and supporting industrial investments tied to the green transition.
