Mattias Brännkärr is a Helsinki-based Senior Associate working with Roschier’s Finance & Restructuring practice. Mattias has experience in various domestic and international acquisitions, corporate, project and property financing transactions, syndicated loans as well as financial restructurings, representing international banks, financial institutions as well as private equity investors and large corporates. Mattias’ experience also includes various debt capital market transactions.
In addition to his LL.M. degree, Mattias holds a M.Sc. (Econ.) degree from Hanken School of Economics and he has also gained experience through a secondment to a major Nordic bank. His previous work experience includes working as an Associate for other law firms in Helsinki as well as CFO at a Finnish company. Mattias joined Roschier in 2018.

Mattias Brännkärr’s experience includes advising:
- Kojamo plc and its wholly owned subsidiary Lumo Kodit Oy in the landmark acquisition of a large Finnish housing portfolio owned by Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company as well as financing of the transaction through issuance of special rights entitling to shares and acquisition financing facility of EUR 600 million;
- Pareto Securities on the issuance of EUR 80 million senior secured bonds by Fonecta Group Oy;
- The seller in the sale of the Skanssi shopping center located in Turku, Finland.
