Markku Tuominen leads Roschier’s Brand Protection practice in Finland. With over 25 years of experience in brand protection, Markku’s expertise encompasses all key areas of intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, domain names, company names, and unfair competition. He specializes in IP portfolio management and enforcement, supporting clients in developing and leveraging their legal brand protection both domestically and internationally. Additionally, Markku has expertise in brand auditing and valuation.
Markku represents both domestic and international clients in litigation before the Market Court, focusing on matters involving trademarks, company names, domain names, and unfair competition. He also provides support to clients in administrative proceedings concerning trademark oppositions and cancellations. Additionally, Markku has extensive experience handling domain dispute cases before Traficom and WIPO.
Markku has written numerous books and articles and is an active lecturer. International publications recognize him as one of Finland’s leading experts in his field (such as Chambers Europe, Chambers Global, MIP IP Stars, WTR 1000, and Lexology Index).
