Maiju Klemola is a Helsinki-based Senior Associate specialized in TMT, digitalization and outsourcing. She is focused on complex cross-border contracts and strategic projects but her experience covers business as usual -matters as well. She works regularly in IT and business process outsourcings, digital transformation projects, licensing, cloud and services procurements, including SaaS and other “XaaS” arrangements, as well as software development projects. Her experience covers the entire lifecycle of IT procurement from tendering process preparation to contract negotiation and management of risks in ongoing projects, termination and exit.
She is also frequently engaged in IT and tech intensive M&A transactions and advises in post-transaction arrangements such as transitional services, carve-outs and contractual aspects of IT integration and separation. In addition to technology-related advisory, she also advises clients in other sourcing-related matters in a range of industries. Her experience covers clients in both public and private sectors.
Maiju is a former Chair of the Board of the Finnish IT Law Association.
According to clients “Maiju’s knowledge of the technology sector and related legal issues is extensive; when necessary, she has been able to provide advice in a very short time without compromising on quality.
