Andreas Hallbeck is a Principal Associate-elect in Roschier’s Corporate Compliance & Investigations practice in Stockholm. He is a member of the Swedish Bar and the New York State Bar.

Andreas advises on corporate liability issues and compliance matters. He is experienced in leading internal investigations into alleged breaches of company policy and violations of law, and in working with multi-jurisdictional white-collar crime investigations. He regularly advises on anti-corruption, trade compliance and sustainability regulations. He gained valuable in-house experience by working as a visiting lawyer at publicly listed Nordic companies with global operations.

Andreas is also experienced in dispute resolution. He has acted as counsel for clients in international and domestic arbitration proceedings under the ICC Rules, the SCC Rules, and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, as well as in litigation proceedings in Swedish courts.

Andreas holds a Swedish LL.M. degree, as well as a US LL.M. degree which he completed as a Fulbright scholar at the University of Texas. He also studied international law and common law at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.

  • A company in a damages claim against the Swedish state for negligent government administration;
  • A major multinational tech company in relation to settlement negotiations and wind-down of operations and joint ventures in its complex exit from Russia;
  • A major international construction company in an arbitration concerning alleged defects;
  • Bain Capital in the acquisition of a controlling stake in Eleda;
  • Clients in BIT claims under the SCC rules against various states;
  • Clients in challenge proceedings regarding arbitral awards, in Swedish court;
  • Clients in internal investigations regarding suspected corruption, trade compliance, conflicts of interest, environmental liability, workplace matters, and other matters;
  • Clients on EU sustainability regulations;
  • Klarna on its USD 1.37 billion IPO;
  • Foreign and domestic clients in questions relating to EU sanctions regime; and
  • Foreign and domestic clients in trade compliance matters.
