Roschier welcomes a senior competition lawyer to its EU & Competition practice
Competition law expert Emma Johansson joins our EU & Competition team in Stockholm on 1 August.
In order to meet the growing demand for strategic advice on M&A related competition law aspects and to prepare for future developments in the area, we are strengthening our senior talent pool in EU & Competition by adding Emma Johansson to the team in Sweden and appointing her Principal Associate.
Emma’s extensive experience ranges from advising clients on complex merger control and FDI filings to major antitrust investigations. Emma joins from the law firm Vinge, where she has worked since 2017. Prior to that, she was an Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Brussels and Washington for several years.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Emma to our Swedish team and as a part of our broader Nordic practice. Competition law issues continue to play an increasingly important role in our clients’ operations, and there are new developments under way, for which companies need to prepare. Emma brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of competition law – in Sweden, the Nordics, the EU and worldwide. She will be a perfect fit for our growing team and the firm as a whole”, comments Kristian Hugmark, who heads our EU & Competition practice in Sweden.
“I am thrilled to be joining Roschier’s outstanding EU & Competition practice”, says Emma Johansson. “I very much look forward to working with Roschier’s talented team and to contributing with my experience on a broad range of competition matters.”
Roschier’s cross-border EU & Competition practice advises leading companies on complex EU and competition law matters, including cartels and abuse of dominance cases, merger control and other M&A-related matters, and private enforcement. Working closely with the firm’s M&A practice, our team provides advice on the full spectrum of competition law issues related to large and complex public and private transactions in the Nordic region.
