Roschier advised Bonnier News on its acquisition of a majority stake in Zetland.

Bonnier News has entered into a partnership with Danish media company Zetland, known for its innovative audio journalism targeting young audiences. Through this majority stake acquisition, Bonnier News aims to accelerate Zetland’s growth together with the remaining shareholders.

Zetland operates as a fully digital, subscription-based publisher specializing in quality journalism. Its content is driven by strong editorial voices and takes the form of longer narrative publications, supported by a technology platform that enables seamless news consumption in both audio and digital channels.

Zetland, based in Copenhagen, launched its first news product in 2016 and began expansion into Finland in January 2025. Today, Zetland has 70,000 subscribers who together form the foundation for Zetland’s “trust model” for journalism. Zetland has approximately 100 employees and is expected to generate revenues of around SEK 110 million in 2025.

Roschier’s core advisory team comprised Leo Lee, Teodor Ljungqvist, Kimia Vafadar Esfahani and Björn Johansson Heigis.
