Roschier donates laptops to schoolchildren through the Kaikille kone campaign
Kaikille kone is a nationwide campaign currently running in Finland, aiming at providing schoolchildren with equal opportunities for distance learning under the current circumstances. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, schools are closed in Finland and education is provided remotely as distance learning. Roschier participates in the campaign by donating used laptops.
It is estimated that tens of thousands of Finnish schoolchildren don’t have access to a laptop. The Kaikille kone initiative collects used laptops from companies willing to donate to the campaign. The aim is to make sure that children in families with scarce resources, or children who for other reasons don’t have the tools needed for distance learning, are not left behind in their studies. Roschier has recently committed to donating some 200-300 used laptops from our Helsinki and Stockholm offices to this good cause.
The main partners making the campaign possible are 3stepIT, Microsoft and Kotimaanapu, supported by The Finnish National Agency for Education and The Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities, who map the needs in collaboration with local schools. The campaign target is to raise some 1 000 laptops in the initial phase.
