Andres Acevedo advises clients on all aspects of EU competition law, including high-stakes cartel and dominance investigations, transactions and multi-jurisdictional merger filings as well as self-assessments, compliance and distribution. Andres also regularly advises domestic and foreign companies on Swedish public procurement, state aid and regulatory matters. Andres experience covers a wide range of industry sectors, such as media, insurance, finance and retail.
Andres is recognized as a future leader in competition law by Who’s Who Legal and the Global Competition Review (Who’s Who Legal: Future Leaders – Competition 2019).
Andres has also received Midander-Lönn award 2013 for best thesis: “Transparens i svensk valkampanjfinansiering” (“Transparency of election finance in Sweden”).

- Bonnier in the SEK 9.2 billion sale of Bonnier Broadcasting to Telia Company;
- Trygg-Hansa in relation to the Swedish Competition Authority investigation into the insurance sector. A series of on-site inspections (dawn raids) took place in spring 2017;
- Blackstone in its acquisition of controlling stakes in D. Carnegie & Co;
- Sydsvenska Dagbladet (owned by Bonnier) in the acquisition of Swedish local daily Helsingborgs Dagblad.
